VCE results 2024 LIVE updates: Victorian Year 12 students receive results, ATARS
The Ballarat Clarendon College class of 2024 has achieved some impressive ATAR results.
Ninety students – more than half the cohort – achieved above 90, which places them in the top 10 per cent of the state.
Of its 174 year 12 students, 74 per cent achieved an ATAR above 80, placing them in the top 20 per cent of Victorian students.
The median ATAR score – that is, Clarendon’s middle student in the cohort – achieved 91.2.
Clarendon’s median study score is 37 and the percentage of study scores above 40 is 35 per cent.
Deputy principal Greg Ashman said regional cities like Ballarat were on the rise, with a promising future ahead.
“As growing centres of opportunity, they are well-positioned to support innovation, foster strong communities and provide pathways for future success,” he said.
Ballarat Clarendon has topped the list of high-achieving schools for the past two years.
Ashman said Ballarat Clarendon College aspired to be a key part of that future success because it helped students pursue their dreams and aspirations.
“We are very proud of what our students have achieved,” he said.
Data on Victoria’s top-performing schools is under embargo until Saturday. The Age will report on the schools that topped ATAR rankings.
